Nothing Interesting to See Here this Week

This past week hasn't been the greatest, and there really isn't much reason for me to be updating this blog. Only a couple of things really happened last week for me:

1. In having recently moved up a level/grade in ballet, I received some awesomely positive feedback from my teacher which made my week. I spent half of last Thursday's class flouncing around, feeling like I really didn't belong in the class. I even had a couple of moments where I considered walking out! But I saw it through and the teacher definitely encouraged me to hang in there and to stay in that level. Apparently I've moved up pretty quickly. :-) Pointe, here I come!

2. I socialised! LOL. I met up with someone who I met through the adoptee community online years ago, and we both only just realised that we both live in San Francisco. So that was pretty cool. I spent some years trying to network with other Korean adoptees online, but it's always great to meet up in person as I feel like we share quite a unique group of experiences that others will never really understand. Although adoption isn't a huge part of my life anymore (not in the ways that it used to be), it's still nice to know that there are people out there that I have this automatic camaraderie with that's just there: it doesn't need to be spoken about 24/7, but we're similar in a strange way which is just nice to know; makes me feel a little less strange and alone in the world. 

Aaaaaand that's really about it. It's been very boring in our corner of the universe. And I'm more tired than usual as our toddler has seriously decided that sleep doesn't suit his lifestyle and was awake last night from midnight to 5am. So I'm dying. Think I'll go get my 100th coffee for the day. Or sleep...!
